Best of Geneva City Tour with optional boat cruise

1.Best of Geneva City Tour with optional boat cruise

★★★★★★★★★★4.0 · 416 reviews · 2 to 3 hours (approx.) · from $76Our pick

See Geneva’s international district, Broken Chair, Jet d’Eau, Flower Clock, and Old Town by coach, mini train, or on foot. The optional Lake Geneva cruise adds sweeping views and a light wine-and-snack service. Guides such as Gabriel and Berry have earned praise, but audio, timing, and weather can affect the day.

“Though very friendly, our tour guide was not good. If she introduced herself, we did not hear her name. Her English was barely understandable, and the tour script was read robotically. We could not hear the tour description well despite the AV being turned up. For Viator, overall, instructions are sparse. How do we know which group is yours? Can you have a uniform or sign? It was unclear that the boat trip was later in the day, and not right after the coach tour. We had a nice day, but it could have been better.”

“This is such a great tour to see everything. We were only in lucerne for 1 day. We caught the 9:03 train from Basel to lucerne - 1hr trip. Then we walked across to the meeting point. We met Pasquale who took us to see all the sites. It was great to do with my partner and my parents. Comfortably seats 4 people with plenty of room. We lived the little streets we could go through that cars cannot. After the tour we chose to get tickets for a 1 hour lake lucerne cruise and Pasquale dropped us to the right pier. Our train back to Basel was at 2:30pm…”

See Kapellbrücke, the Old Town, and the Lion Monument, then enjoy a picnic and Swiss chocolate tasting. The tour is in English, limited to your group of up to two, and depends on good weather.

“Ethan was very friendly and informative of sights and places. The snack was tasty and the stop for chocolates a treat. I would like to suggest with potential inclement weather to bring a towel to wipe off the seat when wet from sprinkles and to provide some kind of leg covering. Otherwise loved the personal touch.”
